Ye Show Puts Tirana Traffic to the Test

If you fly in or out of Tirana around 11 July 2026, read this before you book your airport ride. A one-night concert by Ye (Kanye West) is being staged in a purpose-built, roughly 60,000-capacity venue dubbed Eagle Stadium, and it sits in the Kashar area on the Tirana-Durres corridor, the same stretch of road that carries traffic to the airport. That is a lot of people funnelled onto one route in one evening.

Why the location matters

Most big-event advice is about beds. This one is about roads. The Kashar site is right on the main axis between the capital, the coast and Tirana International Airport, so tens of thousands of arrivals, plus buses, taxis and drop-offs, will converge there on concert night. Backed by Albania’s tourism agency and run by international promoters, the show has government support and a globe-shaped stage, but the practical takeaway for a traveller is simpler: expect congestion on the airport road on the evening and night of 11 July.

If you have a flight that day, give yourself a much bigger buffer than usual, or aim to be through the airport well before the evening crush. If you are driving to or from the coast, the same corridor is the one to watch.

Tickets are sold through the event’s official platform; official general-admission tickets start at around EUR 99 through the event’s own platform (resellers list higher, often EUR 130-250); prices and tiers move, so buy from the official channel and check current rates. Because the venue is a temporary build, everything from entry times to transport plans can change late, which is another reason to check the organiser directly in the days before. If you are attending, basing yourself in central Tirana and travelling out to Kashar makes more sense than staying near the site.
